How Acupuncture Can Help
With Pain

Pain isn't always a simple measure of tissue damage.
When pain is persistent, the nervous system, muscle tension, inflammation, circulation, sleep, and stress can all influence how pain is experienced.

Acupuncture can help by supporting several of the systems involved in pain regulation and recovery such as reducing inflammation, encouraging better circulation, and calming the nervous system.

At its core, this is a shift between two different states in the body:

When pain persists

  • Nervous system remains on high-alert, has trouble relaxing

  • Muscles may remain guarded or tense even when not in use

  • Range of motion/ mobility can become restricted

  • Stress causes poor sleep, which can amplify pain

  • Tension or swelling can restrict blood circulation, slowing tissue healing

Acupuncture support

  • Nervous system shifts into 'rest and digest' mode

  • Muscles contract when at work, and can relax afterward

  • Blood flow improves, bringing nutrients to support healing

  • Stress hormones decrease to allow rest and recovery

  • The body again produces its own natural pain relief chemicals

What Patients Are Saying

Real experiences from patients here in the Tri-Cities area.

FAST RESULTS & REAL RELIEF

"After two treatments, I had less pain and stiffness than I've had in years.

Getting out of bed was easier, and my calf pain dropped to 3/10.

The treatments are relaxing, and you can barely feel it. I'd recommend this to anyone dealing with chronic pain."

—D.H., Kingsport

BACK TO DAILY LIFE

"I experienced relief beyond what I believed was possible, and was quickly back to my active lifestyle. She will be my first choice of treatment from now on."

—T.O., Erwin

A THOUGHTFUL APPROACH

"What I appreciated most about her approach was the emphasis on treating the root cause of my health issues rather than just addressing the symptoms."

—J.T., Jonesborough
